In the beginning there was light. Regardless of the sound that Black Crucifixion created and the fact that we were probably the world’s most northern black metal act, the original idea of the band came together in a beautiful summer night, with the sun shining bright. We lived in the Arctic Circle, so during the summers the sun shines twenty-four hours a day.  It was year 1991 and it took me and Blacksoul only two weeks to book our first gig in a metal festival in the city of Oulu. The other bands playing were Impaled Nazarene, Demigod, Sentenced, Belial, Amorphis and Beherit. It is remarkable that in those days there was no distinction or borders between “death metal” or “black metal” scenes: we were part of the same movement, brothers in arms.
 Our line-up already had Sodomatic Slaughter on drums and he also played his farewell show with Beherit that night. Also another ex-Beherit member Wennström featured in our line-up as bass player.

Binaric premastering from a magnetic tape by PENTTI HIRVONEN and PW at Hothouse. All tracks written by Black Crucifixion except ”In League with Satan” by C.CLANT/J.DUNN/A.BRAY and ”Nightmare” by BUTCHER/W.ANTICHRIST. Pig’s blood was abused during the making of this recording.
